Photos from the late 1970s and early 1980s that link to the alternative scene: the shops and bars have an obvious connection but Manors Station and the Quayside are more about providing a context of the times - they represent the edges of the town that were in a state of decay and inevitably, the most interesting destinations sprung up in these lesser visited areas.
